Bat-Ochir provides independent consulting in corporate finance, strategic management, and management information systems, and financial risk management. He founded Unity capital LLC in 2019 capitalize on his and the other co-founder's experiences to provide investment management services. 

Prior to starting his private consulting business, Bat-Ochir worked 17 years for XacBank and its holding company Tenger Financial Group LLC. During the last 5 years with the Bank, he served as the President, CEO, and Board Member. Prior to being promoted to the CEO position, Bat-Ochir was Chief Investment Officer at the holding company and CFO of the Bank. Some of the representative experiences and highlights in his professional career include:

• Assisted the establishment of the successful microcredit program funded by UNDP, was a member of the executive management team that transformed the project into the first NBFI in the country, conducted the first merger of two financial institutions followed up with the transformation into the XacBank.

• Acted as a key person from XacBank and the Holding company in the process of structuring key terms and closing of all the major international equity and debt transactions between 1999-2013. The counterparties include IFC, EBRD, FMO, KFW, ADB, investment funds, and banks from Europe;

• Conducted investment due diligence to microcredit institutions in Kyrgyzstan and China and had active involvement  with the structuring equity investment transactions on behalf of the Tenger Financial Group;

• Initiated and managed the process of establishing a US$300,000,000 Euro Medium Term Note Programme with ING and UBS acted as the joint arrangers and dealers of the Programme.

• Increased the asset base of the Bank from over S380 million to over $1.0 billion turning it into the 4th largest and systemically important institution between 2011 and 2014;​

• Successfully initiated and managed major rebranding of XacBank, its core systems, and data-center facility replacement with tier II certification; 

• Buy-side due diligence to several local commercial banks in Mongolia and a bank in the Philippines;

• Successful structuring and closing of the strategic investor transaction for a company doing FPO at the MSE;

• Advised and assisted the country's first fintech company with an IPO preparation, Business strategy, and Governance restructuring.
