Erdenedalai Odkhuu is one of the founding partners of Unity Capital LLC. Erdenedalai is also a partner at Melville Erdenedalai LLP, where he provides strategic legal advice, practicing mainly in the evolving and highly-demanding sectors of mining, telecommunications, energy and renewable energy, infrastructure, petroleum, and finance. He advises clients on negotiation, competition and regulatory, mergers and acquisitions, financing and security, restructuring, licensing, and compliance, with particular emphasis on issues that may arise in Mongolia.

Erdenedalai is the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Malta in Mongolia.
EXPERIENCE
Before starting M&E, Erdenedalai was the Mongolian Partner of Hogan Lovells Mongolia LLP. Before joining Hogan Lovells, Erdenedalai worked as a vice-president of legal and compliance of the TenGer Financial Group. In this role he was responsible for legal, compliance and other administration functions as well as for the facilitation of legal work relating to TenGer's international investments. Prior to that, he was a corporate governance and legal consultant to the International Finance Corporation (IFC). Before that, Erdenedalai worked as a project manager of the award-winning project in financial sector jointly implemented by the Government of Mongolia and the World Bank; and also acted as a legal advisor to the Ministry of Finance. Advising and assisting the Japanese energy developer on negotiation of an investment agreement with the Government of Mongolia with project value of over US$ 1 Billion.

Advising a major development bank on the restructuring of a secured loan and issuing a new loan to a major Mongolian financial and industrial group totaling US$130 million.

Advising major foreign-invested companies with strategic mining deposits on various corporate, licensing, regulatory, and administrative matters.

Advising foreign banks with respect to issuance of bonds by Mongolian entities in the foreign stock exchanges.

Advising the Government of Mongolia on all aspects of the proposed 315 MW reservoir-based hydroelectric power plant project on the Eg river, including negotiating and executing a US$1 Billion General Loan Agreement with China.

Advising on the issuance of US$500 million sovereign bonds under the Government's US$5 billion Global Medium Term Note Program.

Advising international and regional solar power developers on 10-50MW solar power generation projects in Mongolia.

Advising EBRD on Capital Markets Legal and Regulatory Reform Project in Mongolia.
